Membership in FAPTO is $35.00 per year, per family. These membership dues, along with monies raised from other activities are used to enhance the experience of our student body. Everybody benefits when a Foothill’s family joins!

Letter from the FAePTO President

Welcome Parents & Students to Foothills Academy for the 2011-12 school year. We hope you had an enjoyable summer.

The 2011-12 FAePTO board is in place and we are excited about the coming year. There is much to do, and we are looking forward to offering many fun events for everyone in the Foothills community.

We got a late start last year in fundraising, but still managed to raise over $16,000 for our school! Here are just a few of the things we did with all that money …

  • Funds for the teachers to set up their classrooms!
  • New library shelving, paint and books!
  • 5 months of copy paper for the entire school!
  • Basketball hoops and balls for the playground!
  • Love and Logic seminar for parents!
  • Water fountain on playground!
  • Water line installed to 5th/6th grade garden!
  • Cubbies in the 5th/6th grade classrooms!
  • Playground fence expansion!
  • Teacher Appreciation week!

Of course this year we have a whole new list of projects I would love to check off!

  • Curriculum Materials; books, media, ed kits, cultural events, speakers, etc.
  • Staff Development; teacher and parent training
  • Capital / Physical Items; shade screens, playground, maps, screens, outdoor tables, PE equipment

We have two goals this year. The first is to host events that encourages our families to get to know each other and strengthen our little Foothills community. Our second goal is to make fundraising EASY and FUN. By taking advantage of the Great Lakes Scrip gift cards, Escrip, Box Tops, buying lunch online with Bad Donkey and Rubio’s and attending social events we can raise money without selling candy and other items.
